Printing with Special Colors
When the special color function is used, it is possible to convert the input color to a CMYK value or Lab value, however when the output color after replacement is CMYK, it will not be the target for color matching.Characteristics of Each Matching Method
When printing a color (C: 0, M: 100, Y: 100, K: 0) through the regular workflow, color matching is performed and the ink used may not be exactly (C: 0, M: 100, Y: 100, K: 0). However when replacement with special colors is performed, the output colors are not targeted for color matching and printing will be performed using the specified CMYK values.

- As in this example, if you configure the output color as CMYK values, the color will be printed according to the density curve configured in the Media Explorer window (and not with the Matching Method setting). This method is useful in situations such as when you want to print a specific color without any impurities. But in this case, the ink limit does not apply. Be cautious of excessive ink usage when printing.
