Performing Only Processing by the RIP

Convert a job saved in the queue folder to data that is suitable for printing.

Processing by the RIP takes time when there is a large amount of print data, there are many objects, or the data is complicated (such as when many transparency effects are being used). You can save time by loading the print data on the computer followed by performing tasks such as printer setup while processing by the RIP is in progress.

Procedure
  1. Add the print data to process by the RIP to the job list.
  2. With the print data selected, perform one of the following operations to execute processing by the RIP.
    • Click RIP on the right side of the job tool area.
    • Right-click a job, and then click RIP - Execute RIP.

During processing by the RIP, VW7-ICON_during execution and the progress (percentage) are displayed in the RIP.

When processing by the RIP finishes, the icon changes to VW7-ICON_completion.

If you change the print settings for a job that has already been processed by the RIP, a confirmation window appears to ask if you want to disable RIP data.

Click Yes to disable the RIP and clear the VW7-ICON_completion icon. Perform the RIP again.
