Outputting from the Macintosh Client
This section explains how to operate a Macintosh client (the computer where the print data is created) to print via the RIP server (the computer on which VersaWorks is installed).
If you register the RIP server as a network printer on the client, you will be able to send the printing data to the RIP server. This section explains how to perform operations when using a PC running Windows as the RIP server.
First, check the following items:
- The client is a Mac OS X (10.5 or later) machine, and the RIP server is logging on to an account that has administrator rights.
- The printer and the computers (RIP server and client) are connected correctly and are all switched on.
- The printer is set on the RIP server (the printer is registered in VersaWorks).
- The printer is ready to print (media has been set up).
