Performing Only Processing by the RIP

Processing by the RIP takes time when there is a large amount of printing data, there are many objects, or the data is complicated (such as when many transparency effects are being used). You can save time by loading the printing data on the computer followed by performing tasks such as machine setup while processing by the RIP is in progress.
Procedure
  1. Add the printing data to process by the RIP to the job list.
  2. With the printing data selected, perform one of the following operations to execute processing by the RIP.
    • Click .
    • Right-click, and then click RIP.
While processing by the RIP is in progress, the status indication in the job list shows , which changes to 1_2_2_job_status_rtl_exist_a when the processing by the RIP finishes. If you change the print settings for a job that has already been processed by the RIP, a confirmation window appears to ask if you want to disable RIP data (data that has been processed by the RIP). To change the setting and process by the RIP again, select Yes.
