4. Configure settings to match the media.

To ensure the optimal output according to the media size and type, set the minimal amount of items. All items set here can be set individually as well.

Procedure
  1. On the Select Media Output Type screen, select the output type and tap Next.
    • Print Only/Print & Cut

      Proceed to step 2.

    • Cut Only

      There are no settings that need to be configured.

  2. Use the Print Head Height screen to adjust the print head height.
    • If this is not necessary, tap Next.
    • Follow the procedure below to make adjustments.
      1. Tap Change
      2. Open the front cover.
      3. Move the height-adjustment lever to adjust the head height.
      4. Close the front cover.
      5. Tap OK.
      6. Tap Next.

  3. Configure the Printing Test and Output Start Location settings on the Nozzle Drop-out Test screen.
    • If this is not necessary, tap Next.
    • When performing a Nozzle Drop-out Test, tap Printing Test - Execute. Refer to Nozzle Drop-out Test Standard to determine whether nozzle drop-out is acceptable or not.

      When the printing test finishes, tap Next.

  4. Perform Feed Correction and Media Gap Adjustment.
    1. Perform a printing test on the Feed Correction screen.
      Set the correction values from the printing test result. For more information, refer to Reducing Horizontal Bands (Feed Correction).
    2. Tap Save and Proceed.
    3. Perform a printing test on the Media Gap Adjustment screen.
      Set the correction values from the printing test result. For more information, refer to Adjusting the Misalignment of the Ink Landing Position (Media Gap Adjustment).
    4. Tap Save and Exit.
  5. Tap MOR_Icon_MediaFeed on the home screen to feed media to the external device as necessary.

This completes the setup of the media.
