Using Specific Wh Ink Cartridges with Priority (Model with Eight Slots)

For Wh ink, slot 1 is paired with slot 2, and slot 7 is paired with slot 8. The ink cartridges in each pair exist in a complementary relationship. When one cartridge runs out of ink, ink is used from the other cartridge to continue printing.

The ink slots to use are determined by the order in which ink cartridges are inserted after the ink is mixed each day. If you want to give priority to the use of certain ink cartridges because, for example, they have little ink remaining or contain ink that is close to its expiration date, insert these ink cartridges first.

The following example shows how to use ink slots 1 and 7 with priority.

Procedure
  1. Mix the ink in the four Wh ink cartridges.
  2. Insert in slots 1 and 7 the ink cartridges that you want to use first.
MEMO Even if you insert the cartridges in the order of slot 1, slot 2, slot 7, and then slot 8, the cartridges in slots 1 and 7 will be used.

  3. Insert in the empty slots the ink cartridges that you want to use at a later time.
The ink cartridges in slots 1 and 7 will be used. When these cartridges run out, ink will be supplied from their paired cartridges.
