Roughly Leveling the Surface of the Fixture Material
Raise the table of the supply pool, and then use the leveling bar to level the surface of the fixture material. Before using a recoater to surface the fixture material (leveling the surface of the fixture material in relation to the machine), manually perform more rough surfacing.
Procedure
- Raise the table of the supply pool, bringing the surface of the fixture material approximately 1 mm (0.04 in.) above the top edge of the pool.
- Place the leveling bar on the edge of the supply pool.
-
While pressing the leveling bar onto the edge of the pool, slowly slide it from the supply pool to the reuse pool.
Slide the leveling bar until it is on top of the reuse pool.
-
Press the surface of the fixture material in the supply pool and molding pool from above.
This will ensure the density of the fixture material in the pool is uniform. Poor fixture material density may affect the print quality. use a squeegee or other flat tool to press evenly over the entire surface.
-
Repeat Steps 1 through 3.
Perform Step 4 if necessary, and then repeat Steps 1 through 3 again. If it looks like the fixture material may overflow from the reuse pool during this work, lower the table.
- Visually check that the surfaces of the fixture material in the supply pool and molding pool are level.
-
If the surface of the fixture material is not level, repeat Steps 1 to 3.
Repeat this procedure until the surfaces of the fixture material are level. If it looks like the fixture material may overflow from the reuse pool during this work, lower the table.
