Leveling the Surface of the Fixture Material
Use a recoater to level the surface of the fixture material in the supply pool and molding pool in relation to the machine.
Procedure
-
Raise the supply pool table and molding pool table slightly.
Set the height of the recoater roller to the same height as the surface of the fixture material. Generally, the PB-600 will be about 1.5 mm (0.06 in.) and the PB-400 will be about 1.0 mm (0.04 in.). However, because this will vary slightly for each machine, adjust the height by making changes in increments of 0.1 mm (3.94 mil). If excess fixture material goes over the roller after recoating, the height is too high. On the other hand, if the roller does not push out the fixture material (empty feeding), the height is too low.

The recoater moves back and forth across the surface of the supply pool, raising the supply pool table by one layer (0.1 mm [3.94 mil]) then lowering the molding pool by one layer (0.1 mm [3.94 mil]).
-
Level the surface of the fixture material with the recoater until there are no depressions in the surface.
Repeat steps 1 and 2.
