Understanding What PAM Can Be Used For
When you have read "Why Is Work Design Performed?" and have designed the work, consider whether or not PAM can be useful in accomplishing your goals. The following items should be considered when deciding whether or not to use PAM.
- Does it appear capable of achieving required items that cannot be assigned elsewhere?
- Do the advantages exceed the disadvantages?
- Can it improve the work efficiency?
What PAM can do
-
Monitor a specific save folder and automatically load the files in it into PAM.
(This is intended for monitoring the order data save folder that is set with e-commerce or other order receiving site, or for manually placing order data in the specified folder.)
The supported file formats are PDF, JPEG, and PNG.
- In the case of PersBiz, the order information attached to the order data (json file) is loaded at the same time.
- Even for non-PersBiz e-commerce, order information can be loaded from a json file or file name containing order information. (To load order information from a file name, the file naming rules must be specified in advance.)
- Some of the settings from loading the order information to output of print data to the RIP can be automated.
- A jig can be created modeling the fixing jig for the object, and the ordered print data can be pasted into the jig.
- The position where the fixing jig is installed can be set, and it is possible to align the position of the object and the printing position.
- The output device that is set in VersaWorks can be automatically detected and displayed in the destination for output from PAM.
- For a RIP other than VersaWorks, the folder for delivering data to the RIP can be set manually.
