Why Is Work Design Performed?
Here "Work Design" refers to deciding the work flow from sale to delivery.
- What is sold and how?
- How are orders received?
- Who creates the ordered products and how?
- How are the finished products delivered?
This is a more detailed description of how the steps from receiving an order to creating and delivering the product will be achieved.
This design diagram will be a guide and a judgment standard when considering whether or not PAM should be introduced, allocating staff roles after PAM was introduced, and deciding the PAM settings. For this reason, it is recommended that you consider it at the initial stage.
The following illustration is an example of a design diagram.
- The customer orders a product he/she likes from the e-commerce site.
- The order information is automatically sent to the Head Office.
- There are two processing plants. Workers (locations) are assigned according to the product delivery destination.
- The Operator creates the product using the output device.
- The finished product is sent to the delivery destination.
