This section explains the following steps based on the assumption that you are printing on the above tablet cover for the first time.

See "Printable Materials and Shapes" for information on whether you can print on the target object.

Even materials with the same name can have many variations with their own distinct properties due to slight differences in composition, and even if the composition is the same, it may or may not be possible for you to print on them due to differences in plating, coating, or other such surface treatments.

If this is the first time you are printing on a material, or if it is similar to something you have printed on before but you are not sure if it can be printed, please print a trial print to see if it is viable.

Generally speaking, the criteria for determining whether printing is viable are as follows. In addition to the items listed below, the items to be checked will vary depending on the requirements for the printed product. Exercise caution.

  • Does the ink adhere to the object?
  • Does the printing not come off even if rubbed?
  • Can a satisfactory level of print quality be achieved?
