You can print on cylindrical surfaces even without using the rotary axis unit as long as the variation in height of the printed surface is no more than 2 mm (78.7 mil). If the variation in height of the print surface exceeds 2 mm (78.7 mil), use the rotary axis unit (sold separately).
The table below shows the maximum width you can print without using the rotary axis unit for a given cylinder size (radius). If the printing width is narrower than the printing width in the table below, you can print without using the rotary axis unit since the variation in height of the print surface is within 2 mm (78.7 mil). If the printing width is wider than the one shown in the table below, use the rotary axis unit.
