Step 1: Setting the Computer's Network

This section explains how to configure the settings when using the machine with a fixed IP address.

For network addresses (the IP address, subnet mask, and router), contact your network administrator.

Procedure
  1. Log on to the Mac as the Administrator.
  2. From the Apple menu, click System Settings....
  3. Click Network - Wi-Fi or the name of the network (when using Ethernet).
  4. Click Details....
  5. Click TCP/IP.
  6. Select Manually for Configure IPv4.
  7. Enter the IP address, Subnet mask, and Router.

    Enter Default Gateway in Router.
