Setting the Reflective Intensity of the Media

The larger the gap between the object and the print heads, the greater the print heads are affected by the UV light reflected from the media. If ink on the surface of the print heads is cured by the reflected UV light, dot drop-out or dot displacement may occur.

This machine periodically performs automatic maintenance to remove ink adhered to the surface of the print heads. Use Media Reflective Intensity to set the frequency of this maintenance.

If you frequently print with a large gap between the object and the print heads, set Media Reflective Intensity to High.

IMPORTANT

Setting Media Reflective Intensity to Low decreases the number of cleaning operations, reducing ink consumption.

However, the risk of dot drop-out and dot displacement will be higher than when High is selected.
