3. Perform a printing test to check the results.

Procedure
  1. Set up the object to be printed on.
    MEMO

The printing test requires an object with a W (width) of 170 mm (6.7 in.) or more and an L (length) of 90 mm (3.55 in.) or more. Set the bottom right of the object to the base point, and then carry out a printing test.

Loading the Object, and Setting the Print Surface Height and Print Start Point
  2. Tap VG3_Panel_Icon_CLEANING Nozzle Drop-out Test on the home screen.
  3. Tap Execute next to Printing Test.
Printing of the test pattern starts.
    MEMO

Depending on the color of the object to be printed on, it may be difficult to check the white ink test pattern.

Tap VG3_Panel_Icon_CLEANING Nozzle Drop-out Test on the home screen, and then select Cleaning - Printing Test - Nozzle Drop-out Test (Base: Black) to make the base of the white ink black, making it easier to check the white ink.

Nozzle Drop-out Test (Base: Black) is not displayed if the machine is not equipped with white ink.
  4. Check whether there is dot drop-out or dot displacement in the test pattern.
Missing blocks indicate dot drop-out. Collapsed or inclined blocks indicate dot displacement.

  5. If you have opened the front cover, close it.
If no dot drop-out or dot displacement occurs, this operation is finished. Tap AP-640_Panel_Icon_HOME to return to the home screen.
If dot drop-out or dot displacement is present, perform cleaning such as normal cleaning.
