Using Expansion Terminal B to Connect an External Device

In order to connect a device to expansion terminal B, you have to set "EXT. PORT B" to "ENABLE."
WARNING

Perform this task with all power switches left switched off.

Failure to observe this instruction may cause the machine to move suddenly, resulting in injury.

Procedure
  1. Check that the machine's main power and sub power switches are off.
  2. Attach to expansion terminal B () the terminal to which you want to connect an external device.


  3. Turn on the machine's main power and sub power.
  4. Press [MENU].
  5. Press [▼] several times to display the screen shown below.


  6. Press [▶].
  7. Press [▼] several times to display the screen shown below.


  8. Press [▶].
  9. Press [▲] or [▼] to select "ENABLE".


    EXT. PORT B Explanation
    ENABLE Enables the connection to expansion terminal B.
    DISABLE (default setting) Disables the connection to expansion terminal B.
  10. Press [ENTER] to confirm your entry.
  11. Press [MENU], then [◀] to go back to the original screen.
