Step 2: Change the Computer's Printer Settings

When you install a printer driver again, a duplicate of the printer driver is registered on the computer. Use the procedure in this section to change the name of the driver, making it easier to specify this driver name as the output destination.
Procedure
  1. Display the list of registered drivers.

An example method for displaying the list of drivers is given below, but the operation method varies depending on your version of Windows. Use an appropriate method to display the list of drivers.

    • Open Control Panel.
    • Open [Devices and Printers].
    • Open [Printers & scanners].
  2. Change the name of the added driver.
There is a duplicate of the GS2-24 driver in the list of drivers. The same as when a file is duplicated, "(1)" or "(1 copy)" is added to the end of the name of the duplicate driver. The name of the added driver is Roland DG GS2-24 (1), Roland DG GS2-24 (1 copy), or something similar, which allows you to identify the duplicate driver.
    1. Right-click the driver whose name you want to change, and then click Printer Properties.
    2. Change the name of the driver to Roland DG GS2-24 (B).
Here, we have added "(B)" to the name as an example, but set the name to something that the machine can easily identify.
    3. Click OK.
