Procedure up to Printing
This section explains the basic procedure for printing with the machine.
- Create print data using Adobe Illustrator or other commercially available design software.Print data should be 9.86 mm × 9.86 mm (0.39 in. × 0.39 in.) or larger, and should be saved in the following format.
- PDF (PDFs are saved in artboard size, so exercise caution regarding the margins.)
- EPS
- JPEG
- PostScript
- TIFF (with/without LZW compression)
- PNG
The methods for creating print data differ depending on the color layering and whether a primer has been applied.
Refer to the instructions linked below for information on how to create typical print data.

- Load the created print data into VersaWorks and configure the printing settings.
For the VersaWorks operation procedures and other details, see the First Step Guide.
- Perform RIP processing of the print data with VersaWorks and save it.
- Load the print data processed by the RIP into PrintExp.
Adding and changing the printing settings can also be done from PrintExp. For more information, refer to PrintExp Screen and Functions.
