Function
Previewing STL Files and Providing Quality Assurance
- Before importing an STL file into CAM, you can preview the file to check its quality. This is useful if the data in the STL file is inverted and if the orientation output from CAD is incorrect.
- To optimize the placement of support pins, you can manually set sections where placement is prohibited and sections where placement is allowed.
- You can apply a filter to the selected data (STL or DGSHAPE CAM) to check which dental prosthesis has been imported and calculated and to which job this dental prosthesis has been associated.
- Even if the CAD (exocad) data is incomplete, you can check the details by applying a filter.
- You can select an STL file to send it to DGSHAPE CAM for DWX-43W.
Navigation and Display

- Back
Moves to the previous folder.
- Forward
Moves to the next folder.
- Up
Moves to the main folder.
- Home
Moves to the starting folder.
MEMOIn the default settings, the Home button's directory is set to the desktop, but you can change this with the root directory parameter in the File Hub settings.
- Reload - Reloads the content of the current folder. (If a file you just added to this folder does not appear, try reloading the folder.)
- Filter - Applies a filter to STL files, CAM files, and CAD files to narrow down the contents of the folder.
File Options

- Cut
Cuts the file, allowing you to move it to the location where you want to paste it.
- Copy
Copies the file, allowing you to duplicate it in the location where you want to paste it.
- Paste
When you paste a file, the original file is copied or moved. (The behavior varies depending on whether the file was originally cut or copied.)
- Delete
Deletes the file from the computer.
Tools and Settings Usable with Files

- Rotate dental prosthesis
You can rotate the dental prosthesis to the appropriate orientation before importing it into CAM.
- Analyze (repair) object
Analyzes the object for mesh errors and presents options for repairs.
Dynamic Preview

Cross-section Checking Tool
You can use this tool to check dental prosthesis cross-sections along three axis directions.
Switching the Translucency

Support Pin Tools
- Specifying the support pin placement prohibited section (red point)
CAM will prevent support pins from being placed in this section.
- Specifying the support pin placement prioritized section (green point)
CAM will allow support pins to be placed in this section.
- Deleting the placement prioritized section (green point) and prohibited section (red point)
Measurement
- Two-point measurement
This tool can measure the distance between two points in a file.
- Thickness measurement
This tool indicates areas where the thickness may be smaller than the lower threshold and can display layers grouped by color as an image on the dental prosthesis.
