Ink Cartridges

  • Ink cartridges come in various types.

    • Use a type that is compatible with the printer. Also, be sure to use only genuine items from Roland DG Corporation.

  • Never subject the ink pouches to impacts or attempt to disassemble them.

    • Never drop the ink pouches or shake them forcefully. The impact may rupture the internal pouches and cause the ink to leak.

    • Never attempt to disassemble.

    • Never attempt to refill the ink.

    • If ink gets on your hands or clothing, wash it off as soon as possible. Removal may become difficult if you leave such adhered ink untreated.

  • Storage

    • Use up the ink before the expiration date printed on the ink cartridge.

    • Store ink cartridges unopened in a well-ventilated location at a temperature of 5°C to 40°C (41°F to 104°F) and avoid direct sunlight. However, do not store the ink cartridges for a prolonged period of time in low or high temperature environments.

  • Other handling
    • Leave ink cartridges inserted in the ink slots at all times. Leaving the ink slot empty may cause printer malfunctions, such as the ink adhered to the needle inside dries out and causes clogging.
    • Always insert the cleaning cartridge into the cleaning liquid slot with the cleaning liquid pouch set. Leaving the cleaning liquid slot empty may cause printer malfunctions, such as the cleaning liquid adhered to the needle inside drying out and causing clogging.
