Removing Media from the Take-up Unit
When output is complete, separate the media, take up the media manually, and then remove the media.
Handling roll media is an operation that must be performed by 2 persons or more, and care must be taken to prevent falls.
Attempting to lift heavy media in a manner that taxes your strength may cause physical injury. Also, if dropped, such items may cause injury.
- Close the front cover when it is open.
-
Tap
Sheet Cutting on the operation panel.
- Tap Feed + Sheet Cutting.
-
Tap Execute.
After the printed media is taken up by the take-up unit (with a feed amount of 600 mm [23.62 in.]), the media is separated from the roll.
WARNINGHigh Temperature
Immediately after coming out of the oven, the separated media is very hot. Leave the media alone for at least 10 seconds, only touching it after it cools down.
-
If the loading lever is lowered, raise it.
-
Press the manual switch on the take-up unit to take up all the excess media.
-
While supporting the media from below, loosen the securing lever on the left media holder.
-
With the media supported, pull the paper tube and media from the end cap.
Store the media in a location with low humidity. You are recommended to implement countermeasures against moisture such as by covering the media with a vinyl sheet containing desiccant.
