Replacing the Print Head Caps

Procedure
  1. When the message The time for cap replacement has arrived. appears, tap OK.
  2. Remove any media.
  3. Tap Notification_Panel to display the messages.
  4. Tap The time for cap replacement has arrived..
    The Cap Replacement window appears.
  5. Tap Execute.

    The first step is displayed on the operation panel. Finish the work within 30 minutes to prevent the print heads from drying out. After 30 minutes, a warning message appears.

  6. Follow the instructions on the operation panel to replace the print head cap.

    After finishing the instructed work, tap Panel_Icon_Right_Blue to display the next step. (There are some procedures where the next step is displayed automatically as you perform the work. In these situations, there is no need to tap the button.) In this manner, perform each step of the work in order. If you want to check the previous step or perform it again, tap Panel_Icon_Left_Blue.

    When you finish the last step, tap Finish All. Close the cover to finish the replacement. Dispose of the removed component.

  7. Tap Panel_Icon_Home.
    The home screen appears.
