Performing Test Printing to Determine the Optimizer Ink Amount

Perform test printing of multiple jobs with different optimizer ink levels and determine the level that provides the optimal image quality.

Procedure
  1. Use one of the methods below to duplicate the job for test printing.
    • Right-click the job for test printing, and then click Edit Design - Duplicate Job.
    • With the job for test printing selected, click VW7_JobMenu1 on the left side of the job tool area, and then click VW7-ICON_Job duplication Duplicate Job.
  2. Use one of the methods below to open the Job Settings window.
    • Double-click the job to set.
    • Right-click on the job to set, then click Edit Design - Job Settings .
    • With a job selected, click VW7_JobMenu1 on the left side of the job tool area, and then click VW7_CustomizeJob Settings .
  3. Click VW7_ColorSetting Color Management.
  4. Use Optimizer Level under Optimizer to specify the optimizer ink amount.
    The setting range is −5 to +5.
  5. Repeat Steps 1 to 4 to create multiple jobs with different optimizer ink amounts.
  6. Create a nested job.
    • With multiple jobs selected, right-click, and then click Compile Jobs - Nest.
    • Click VW7_JobMenu1 on the right side of the job tool area, and then click VW7-ICON_NestJobNest.
  7. Perform printing.
  8. Check the printing results and determine the optimizer ink amount that provides the optimal image quality.
