Home Screen

VersaWorks basically consists of a home screen and a main screen. When VersaWorks is started, the main screen appears*1. Although most operations are performed on the main screen, the home screen allows users to register printers with Add New Printer and check the status of the selected printer or the RIP/printing status. Printer settings can also be registered by clicking VW7_Customize (including Printer Color Match and Media Explorer).

To switch to the main screen, click VW7-ICON_return(home)Job.

Click the following items to switch the displayed window.

  • VW7-ICON_return(home)Job: You are returned to the main screen.
  • Printer Status: An information window with the device status (not connected, ready to print, etc.), ink status, and media status (width/length/height) appears.
  • Job Status: A window for confirming the RIP/printing progress of the job appears.
    • If you want to cancel the RIP and printing of a job: Select the job to cancel, and then click VW7-ICON_Cancel Job.
    • If you want to cancel the RIP and printing of all jobs: Click VW7-ICON_Cancel all jobs.
  • Add-ons: The Roland DG Connect site will open, and functions can be purchased with a subscription.
  • VW7-ICON_Adding_printerAdd New Printer: The Printer Registration window appears.

The following settings are available. If multiple printers have been registered, select one before clicking this.

  • VW7-ICON_Move job upVW7-ICON_Move job down: Change the order of the selected printer in the registered printer list when multiple printers have been registered. If you change this order, the order of printers at the top of the main screen also changes.
3. Click VW7_Customize to configure the following settings.
  • Printer Color Match (Extended)*2
  • Printer Color Match (Basic)
  • Media Explorer
  • Change IP Address
  • Change Nickname
  • Change Nozzle Mask
  • Create Virtual Printer
  • Delete
