3. Job Area

This area is used to perform operations such as outputting jobs and configuring their settings.

  1. Print queue

    Displays jobs (source data names) waiting to be printed or being printed. The [Status] field shows the progress information during printing.

  2. RIP queue

    Displays jobs (source data names) waiting to be processed by the RIP or being processed by the RIP. The [Status] field shows the progress information during processing by the RIP.

  3. Job list
    Displays jobs (source data names) registered in the queue folder. To select a job to be processed by the RIP or printed, click the desired job. Changing the Order in Which Jobs Are Output can be performed by dragging the jobs within the job list. To display a shortcut menu with a list of operations (the same functions as the job tool bar), right-click the desired job. Click the tabs at the top of the list to switch the display between the job lists of Queue A and Queue B. The [Status] field shows the job status using the following icons:
    Icon Overview
    The job is being processed by the RIP.
    The job has been processed by the RIP.
    The job has been processed by the RIP (including cutting data).
    The job is being printed.
    The job has been printed.
    This is a step & repeat job.
    This is a nested job.
    This is a composite job.
    The job is being generated (standby status).
    The processing by the RIP or printing has been canceled for the job.
    The preview for the job is being generated.
    The job file has been saved.
    The data format is not supported by VersaWorks.
    An error has occurred, and the processing by the RIP or printing cannot be performed.
    Data that cannot be output to a cutting-dedicated machine was dragged to the job list (this is a warning).
  4. Job tool bar
    Icon Function overview
    Displays the [Job Settings] window to configure the settings of the selected job such as the layout and quality.
    Processes the selected job by the RIP. The job is not printed.
    Prints the selected job. If the target job has not been processed by the RIP, the job is processed by the RIP before being printed.
    Groups the selected jobs to form a single (nested) job.
    Saves the printing settings and RIP processed data of the selected job to a file.
    Cancels the processing by the RIP or printing in progress.
    Deletes the intermediate files for the selected job.
    Deletes the selected job from the job list.

  • You can also perform the same operations from the menu that is displayed when you right-click a job in the job list and from the [Job] menu on the menu bar.
