Step 2: Set the update details.

You can configure advanced settings for updates. We recommend that you use this as the default setting.

Procedure
  1. Set the Update Options.
    The items that can be set are as follows. The recommended settings are indicated in parentheses.
    • Download Updates for ALL Languages (Selected)

      If you clear this check box, only the update data for the current language setting will be downloaded. In this case, you cannot display information in other languages.

    • Download Media and Color Profiles (Selected)

      If you select this check box, you can select the downloading conditions. If you clear this check box, the update data related to media and profiles will not be downloaded.

      • ALL Available Updates (Selected)

        If you select this check box, the data for all printers and for all ink configurations supported by VersaWorks will be updated.

      • Only for the Current Printer Model in Use (Cleared)

        If you select this check box, the data for the current printer model and for all ink configurations supported by this model will be updated.

      • Only for the Current Printer Model and Ink Type (Cleared)

        If you select this check box, only the data for the current printer model and ink configuration will be updated.

  2. Click OK.
  3. Click Check for updates.

    If update data is available, the Select updates window appears.

    If the message The server name or address could not be resolved." is displayed, configure the settings again.

    IMPORTANT To check the update information on the website, click the URL displayed under Update Information in the Manual Updater window.
