If the printer does not operate even though you have sent print data, check that the media has been set up and that Output possible. is displayed in the status bar.

When operating the setting menu, output doesn't start when data is sent from the computer with some menu items. When you return to a menu item where output is possible or tap Panel_Icon_Home to return to the home screen, output starts.
