Additional UV Lamp Illumination after Printing

When the ink is not completely cured after printing is complete, cure the ink by illuminating it once again with the UV-LED lamp.

A characteristic of UV ink is that it cures quickly when exposed to light from the UV-LED lamp, but curing may be difficult for materials that absorb ink like cloth. This function may alleviate this symptom.

Procedure
  1. Press [FUNCTION].
  2. Press [▼] several times to display the screen shown below.

  3. Press [ENTER].
The print heads move, and the print area is illuminated by the UV-LED lamp.
    MEMO:
    • This function cannot be used if the setup of the object to be printed on has been canceled ([SETUP] is off).

    • The UV-LED lamp illuminates the print area configured in the setup of the object to be printed on.

    • To change the range of emission, readjust the print area.

    • The effect depends on the material of the object to be printed on.

    • You can stop the operation by pressing [ENTER] while operation is in progress.

    • With VersaWorks, you can configure the settings so that additional emission continues after printing without using this function. For more information, see the VersaWorks manual.
