Attaching the Spacer Table

CAUTION:

Sharp components

Take care to avoid injuries arising from touching the edges of the spacer table and other such sharp components.

Procedure
  1. Turn on the sub power.
  2. Press [SETUP].
    [SETUP] starts to flash.
  3. Press [DOWN] and [▼] to move the flat table to the lowest and frontmost (forward) position.
  4. Open the front cover.
  5. Remove any installed positioning jigs.
  6. Temporarily tighten the screws in the four locations shown in the figure.
    Make a space between the screw heads and the table of approximately 2 mm (78.7 mil) ().


  7. Check the front and rear positions of the spacer table.
    The side with a notch at the fixing location is the rear side, and the side without a notch is the front side.
  8. Hold the left and right sides of the spacer table, and place the spacer table in the position shown in the figure.

  9. Slide the spacer table until it hits the screw.
    IMPORTANT:

    Move the spacer table slowly to prevent damage to the screw threads.



  10. Tighten the rear screws.
    IMPORTANT:

    Do not touch the head gap sensor.



  11. Press [▲] to move the flat table backwards about 100 mm (3.94 in).
  12. Tighten the front screws.
  13. Press and hold [SETUP] to go back to the initial state.
