1. Perform manual cleaning.

Procedure
  1. Remove the object to be printed on.
  2. Move the print-head carriage.
    1. Press [MENU].
    2. Press [▼] several times to display the screen shown below.


    3. Press [▶] once, and then press [▼] several times to display the screen shown below.


    4. Press [▶] to display the screen shown below.


    5. Press [ENTER].
      After "NOW PROCESSING.." is displayed and the print heads move, the screen shown below appears.


  3. Open the front cover.
  4. Open the maintenance cover.
    Remove the screw on the top of the maintenance cover, tilt the maintenance cover forward slightly, and then pull out the maintenance cover in the direction indicated by the arrow.


    The screen shown below appears.


    IMPORTANT:

    Do not press [ENTER] at this stage. Press [ENTER] after cleaning is complete. If you press [ENTER] at this stage, the screen shown below is displayed. Select "NO" and start over from the beginning.



  5. Touch the location shown in the figure to discharge any static electricity.


  6. Moisten the cleaning stick with the cleaning liquid.
    IMPORTANT:
    Be sure to use one of the included cleaning sticks.


  7. Clean the locations shown in the following figure.

    Clean only the metal frame. Be especially careful to clean away any fibrous dust (lint).

    Be careful not to touch the print head surface (nozzle surface) directly with the cleaning stick.



  8. Clean the locations shown in the following figure.
    Only stroke the sponges gently, do not rub them forcefully.


  9. When you have finished cleaning, close the maintenance cover.
  10. Close the front cover.
  11. Press [ENTER].

    The screen shown below appears. Proceed to step 2 in 2. Perform head refreshing..
