Using Expansion Terminal B to Connect an External Device

In order to connect a device to expansion terminal B, you have to set "EXT. PORT B" to "ENABLE".
WARNING

Perform this task with all power switches left switched off.

Otherwise sudden movement of the machine may cause injury.

Procedure
  1. Check that the machine's main power and sub power switches are off.
  2. Attach to expansion terminal B () the terminal to which you want to connect an external device.


  3. Turn on the machine's main power and sub power.
  4. Press [MENU].
  5. Press [▼] several times to display the screen shown below.


  6. Press [▶] once, and then press [▼] several times to display the screen shown below.


  7. Press [▶].
  8. Press [▲] or [▼] to select "ENABLE".


    "EXT. PORT B" Explanation
    "ENABLE" Enables the connection to expansion terminal B.
    "DISABLE" (Default settings) Disables the connection to expansion terminal B.
  9. Press [ENTER] to confirm your entry.
  10. Press [MENU], then [◀] to go back to the original screen.
