Before Media Setup

The process of loading media in the printer and preparing the printer for printing on the media (including setting the printing area) is called "Setup."

  • When the extension table is attached, only sheet media can be used. The extension table must be removed to use roll media.
  • Detection of the length of the media in the feed direction (Media Edge Detection) cannot be used with the extension table attached, so the media length must be entered during setup.
  • Always use media clamps when loading the media.
  • Folded media that cannot pass through the extension table or media whose folds cannot be eliminated even by using media clamps cannot be used.
