Removing the Retainer
WARNING
This work must be performed before connecting the power cord.
The power turning on inadvertently during these operations may result in pinched hands or other injury.
IMPORTANT
Be sure to remove the retainer and screw.
Any that remain may cause faulty operation or breakdown when the power is switched on.
The retainers and screws are needed when transporting the machine. Store them carefully so that you do not lose them.
Open the front cover, remove the tape fixing the media clamp in place, and then remove the retainer and screw.
Remove the retainer from the print-head carriage cutting tool attachment part.
Open the lower-left cover to store the removed retainer and screw.
