The Print Heads Stop Moving
If the print-head carriage stops over the platen, take action immediately to prevent the heads from drying out.
What to Do First
If the print-head carriage move to the standby position (on the right side of the machine), it means the operation has ended successfully.
If The Heads Still Do Not Move
Try switching off the main power, then again switching on the main power, followed by the sub power.If the print-head carriage move to the standby
If the heads still do not move after "What to Do First" is performed, carry out the following emergency response measure, then contact your authorized Roland DG Corp. dealer.
Procedure

Switch off the main power and open the front cover.

Gently move the print heads to the standby position.
Stopping at the place where the audible click is heard locks the print heads in place.

Gently apply pressure from the right side to make sure the print heads don't move to the left.
If the print heads move to the left, again move them slowly by applying pressure from the left side and make sure they lock in place.
