The Driver cannot be Installed

If you have canceled installation or if the installation wizard does not appear when the USB cable is connected, follow the procedure below.

Windows 11

Procedure
  1. Connect the machine and the computer with the USB cable, and switch on the machine.
  2. If the Found New Hardware message appears, click Cancel to close it.
  3. Right-click the Start menu, and then click Device Manager.
    When the User Account Control window appears, click Continue. The Device Manager window appears.
  4. From the View menu, click Show hidden devices.
  5. Search the list for Printers or Other devices, and then double-click it.

    The name of your machine or Unknown device appears below the selected item. Click the name to select it.

  6. From the Action menu, click Uninstall device.
  7. In the Confirm Device Uninstall window, click OK.
  8. Close the Device Manager.
  9. Disconnect the USB cable from the computer, and restart Windows.
  10. Uninstall the driver according to the procedure below.

  11. Refer to the "Installation and Initial Settings" to redo the installation from the beginning.

Windows 10

Procedure
  1. Connect the machine and the computer with the USB cable, and switch on the machine.
  2. If the Found New Hardware message appears, click Cancel to close it.
  3. Right-click the Start menu, and then click Device Manager.
    When the User Account Control window appears, click Continue. The Device Manager window appears.
  4. From the View menu, click Show hidden devices.
  5. Search the list for Printers or Other devices, and then double-click it.
    The name of your machine or Unknown device appears below the selected item. Click the name to select it.
  6. From the Action menu, click Uninstall device.
  7. In the Confirm Device Uninstall window, click OK.
  8. Close the Device Manager.
  9. Disconnect the USB cable from the computer, and restart Windows.
  10. Uninstall the driver according to the procedure below.
