Replacing the Felt Wiper

The felt wiper is a component used for cleaning the print heads. When the message appears on the Utility icon on the computer task tray, it is time to replace the wiper with a new one. To purchase a felt wiper, contact us directly or your authorized Roland DG Corp. dealer.

When the warning alarm sounds during replacing the felt wiper

An alarm sounds about 30 minutes after the start of the operation. Perform the operation by following the message displayed in the Utility window.

WARNING

Be sure to perform operations as specified by the instructions, and never touch any area not specified in the instructions.

Sudden movement of the machine may cause injury.

Procedure
  1. Open the Utility window.

  2. In the Replace Tools tab, click Replace Felt Wiper.

    Procedures for replacing the felt wiper are displayed. Carefully read the on-screen instructions and start the replacement work.

  3. When the operation is completed, close the front cover.
