Step 1: Removing the Retainers

The retainers and screws are needed when transporting the machine. Store the retainers according to the following procedure.
WARNING

This work must be performed before connecting the power cord.

The power turning on inadvertently during these operations may result in pinched hands or other injury.

IMPORTANT

Be sure to remove the retainers and screws.

Any that remain may cause faulty operation or breakdown when the power is switched on.

Procedure
  1. Open the front cover.
  2. Remove the maintenance cover according to the following procedure.
    1. Hold the underside of the maintenance cover, and pull it approximately 30 mm (1.18 in.) towards you.
    2. Lift the maintenance cover up to remove it.

  3. Remove the retainers and screws using the included hexagonal wrench.
    MEMO

    If the screws fall under the flat table

    Raise the flat table using the nozzle drop-out test applied during the initial setup process. After the flat table has been raised, open the maintenance cover and pick up the screws.

  4. Attach the retainers to the printer according to the following procedure.
    1. Insert the protrusions on the retainers into the printer holes.
    2. Attach the screws to fix the retainers into place.

  5. Attach the maintenance cover according to the following procedure.
    1. Insert the hooks (B) on the maintenance cover into the grooves on the left and right (A).
    2. Secure the maintenance cover in place using the magnets (C).

  6. Close the front cover.
