Showing/Hiding Notifications

Use the following procedure to show/hide the following notifications, which prompt operators to perform proper operations.
Procedure
  1. Tap Panel_Icon_Menu.
  2. Tap Preferences - Notifications On/Off.
  3. Tap Panel_Icon_Toggle_OFF to show/hide the notifications.
    Displayed notification Description
    Ink Mixing Notification*1 The time for ink mixing has arrived. Prompts you to mix the ink cartridge to prevent ink precipitation. When this is on, a message recommending mixing the ink is displayed once a day.
    Middle Pinch Roller Placement Notification*2 Placement of the middle pinch rollers has not been performed. Place all middle pinch rollers in the correct positions. Prompts you to use the middle pinch rollers, improving media feeding accuracy and preventing the media from coming loose. When this is on, the message appears when the middle pinch rollers have not been placed.
    Media Clamp Placement Notification*3 Install the media clamps correctly. Prompts you to correctly place the media clamps to prevent the media from coming loose. When turned on, this message appears when the media clamps are not placed at the edges of the media.
    Media clamps could not be detected. This message appears when the media clamps cannot be detected because they are hidden by the media or are dirty with, for example, ink.
    *1 Default setting: Off
    *2 Default setting: On
    *3 Default setting: On
  4. Tap Save to confirm your entry.
  5. Tap Panel_Icon_Home.
    The home screen appears.
